description

Kautokeino is Norway’s largest reindeer herding municipality where the traditions are still maintained. Join us for a trip to the reindeer herd and experience the everyday life of a reindeer herder in the mountains. On this tour, you also get the opportunity to take in some beautiful scenery, and capture some close-ups of the reindeer. Along the way, we will also stop by a lavvu, where we can get heat from the fire, drink coffee and enjoy a good portion of traditional Sami feast food “Biđus”. We drive two people per snowmobile and the trip starts from the Thon hotel, where the guests are given a warm welcome outerwear.

Nice to know:

2 people per ATV. The tour includes training and necessary safety equipment.

Recommended clothing is warm outerwear, woollen underwear, woollen socks, mittens, scarf, hat and warm shoes.
